The Safest and Easiest Way to Have Your BOLs E-Signed

Times are strange and difficult right now. With social distancing mandated in many places, we decided to make it easier for you to cut down on physical interaction with your clients. 

To that end, we have made it possible for your customers, drivers, and shippers to e-sign their Bills of Lading (BOLs). You can either email BOLs to your clients for their e-signature, or your drivers can pull up BOLs in the mobile app and have them e-signed there. 

Here’s how you can get your BOLs e-signed.

Email for e-signature

The first way to send your BOLs for e-signatures is by using the BOL section of the appropriate dispatch. The dispatch must have freight details (dimensions, total value, etc.) included in order for the BOL to populate. 

Once you have generated the BOL, simply click on the “E-Sign BOL” button and choose who you would like to send the BOL to (driver, shipper, and/or consignee). You can then customize the email that you send to them.

The driver, shipper, and/or consignee with receive an email with a link, and you will be updated when they have finished e-signing.

In the TruckLogics Mobile App, the e-signature process is just as simple. Just find the appropriate dispatch, navigate to the DOCS tab, and tap on the BOL. Then tap “E-Sign” and have your driver, customer, or shipper sign with their finger!
