Start Creating Your Fourth Quarter IFTA Report With TruckLogics
We are officially in the fourth quarter of 2022, and it’s time to set yourself up for the IFTA Reporting.
IFTA Reporting Requirements – An Overview
IFTA is an agreement made between the 48 contiguous United States and 10 Canadian provinces.
It has to be reported by drivers or owners of vehicles with the following characteristics:
- Weigh 26,000 pounds or more
- Have three or more axles
- Travel through two or more jurisdictions
These drivers or owners must then keep track of the miles traveled and the amount of fuel purchased in each jurisdiction and then report it to their base jurisdiction. That jurisdiction will then distribute the tax amount owed to each jurisdiction in which fuel was purchased.
Ease Your IFTA Report Generation with TruckLogics!
TruckLogics offers an IFTA-only option that allows drivers to input their fuel and mileage data through manual entry, using a TruckLogics excel template, or importing data via Motive ELD.
TruckLogics does all of the calculations and keeps track of the IFTA tax rates, so you don’t have to. It also has the ability to check for state adjacency which makes sure the states you are reporting for are in adjacent order.
You can use TruckLogics to generate IFTA reports for the third quarter of previous quarters and file them with your base jurisdiction. Any form filed after its due date will be subject to a late fee.
