Working Women Wednesday: Celebrating Women in the Trucking Industry with AGT Global Logistics

Celebrate amazing women in the trucking industry this Women's History Month!

As you may know, March is Women’s History Month. Here at TruckLogics we want to celebrate and highlight the accomplishments of women in the trucking industry. The trucking industry has been a mostly male-dominated industry, but in recent years more and more women have started trucking, some even going as far as starting their own trucking companies.

Each week in March we will feature a different women-owned trucking company and this week we are focusing on AGT Global Logistics.

AGT Global Logistics is a women-owned transportation and logistics company that specializes “in the integration of all transportation and logistics functions for top-tier companies around the world.”

When asked to provide a quote about the company a representative had this to say, “AGT Global Logistics is a third-party logistics company that lives up to our motto – “We Keep Your World Turning.”  Through decades of specialized service in the energy and utilities sector, Founder and President Angela Eliacostas built her business through years of hard work, diligence, persistence and grit. Angela’s father was a long-hauler and owned a trucking company. To spend time with him, she learned how to fuel, park and wash his trucks. As a young, single mother of four boys – Angela began working at BBI trucking as a part-time billing clerk, working her way up to general manager. Building her skills and knowledge led her to start what is now a multi-million dollar 3PL specializing in unbeatable customer service and dependable results.”

The company’s Founder Angela Eliacostas, has over 25 years of operational experience in the trucking industry. AGT Global is consistently recognized as a top women-owned business in Illinois ranking among the top 50 women-owned businesses for over a decade.  AGT Global Logistics is actively striving for sustainable business practices and offers a wider variety of services and careers.

Join us in celebrating many women-owned trucking companies this Women’s History Month and help us give these amazing women the recognition they deserve!
