Working Women Wednesday: Celebrating Women in the Trucking Industry
As you may know, March is Women’s History Month. Here at TruckLogics we want to celebrate and highlight the accomplishments of women in the trucking industry. The trucking industry has been thought to be mostly a male-dominated industry, but in recent years more and more women have started trucking, some even going as far as starting their own trucking companies.
Each week in March we will feature a different women-owned trucking company and this week we are focusing on D. Gray Trucking & Hauling Services.
D. Gray Trucking & Hauling Services is a women-owned service company established in 2019 that, according to their website https://dgraytruckhaul.com, “helps trucking companies meet all the rules, regulations, and requirements set by the Department of Transportation (DOT), and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).”
When asked to provide a quote about her company, the company’s owner DeShontae Morgan had this to say: “My foundation is built on a lifetime of faith and being an all-around good person. I entered the transportation industry in early 2019, my interest sparked when I realized that sharing my business and finance knowledge could elevate people, not just those in my community, but around the world by helping transportation owners create business systems to free up time and improve safety & compliance.”
Morgan is active on Instagram @D.graytruckhaul as well as in the trucking industry helping to pave the way for women in the trucking industry.
Join us in celebrating many women-owned trucking companies this Women’s History Month and help us give these amazing women the recognition they deserve!
